Carol McKue

Carol is a successful artist who is inspired by the challenge of capturing the light and atmosphere of her local environment, using oils and painting knives to give her work a fresh and loose approach on traditional landscapes.

Her paintings have been shown widely in Suffolk and Essex in joint and single exhibitions and also in North East England. She has contributed articles in the “International Artist” on “painting the greens of England”. And also in the series of books “How did you paint that, 100 ways to paint Seascapes, Rivers and Lakes”.

Carol has also had her work published in the S.A.A. magazine “Paint” and in 2014 became the S.A.A. Amateur Artist of the year.

She travels widely in the UK to paint but is still primarily inspired by the landscapes and coastal scenery of Essex.
