Judith Glover

My practice moves between painting, drawing and portrait-making and I describe myself as a multi-disciplinary, contemporary artist. A deep appreciation of nature since childhood has led to an enduring love of horticulture and the natural world so plants and flowers often feature in my work, as does the human face and form.

Since moving from London to Suffolk I have been consciously exploring fresh ways to express my creative voice - following new paths and experimenting with scale and medium without restriction while remaining true to my artistic integrity. My aim is to use the skills gained as a professional illustrator to make works that convey a lyrical stillness built from a lifetime of observation.

Current themes I am exploring are memory, a sense of place and the passage of time. Whatever the subject, my intention is to move my work forward and to embrace whatever journey my inner voice takes me on.
