Autumn Lecture: Laurence Edwards

Born in Suffolk, Laurence Edwards studied at Canterbury College of Art with tutors including Anthony Caro and at the Royal College of Art, where he studied bronze casting and sculpture with Phillip King and Eduardo Paolozzi. After winning a Henry Moore Bursary, the Angeloni Prize for Bronze Casting and an Intach Travelling Scholarship he travelled the Indian sub-continent studying traditional casting techniques. Edwards first established a studio and foundry in Suffolk in 1990. This Autumn Edwards’ exhibition A Gathering of Uncertainties runs concurrently at Messum’s London and Messum’s Wiltshire.
