Kushag Patel

Kushag is a multidisciplinary visual artist. They make collage, moving image/video and mixed media artworks. Their process draws on free-association methods to engage with social and political concerns often referencing memory, nature, and heritage. The work also playfully responds to sensory overload and spiralling thoughts, capturing the sense of disconnection in navigating this condition.

Mainly self-taught, with a postgraduate diploma in Filmmaking, they have exhibited in art fairs, group shows and independent spaces, and have conceived and contributed to many artist-led projects. They recently co-founded the project You Should Go Back, that was exhibited at the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum in 2025.
